12 week ultrasound

Today we had our first ultrasound for little sibling. I'll be 36 when this baby is born which makes me a bit higher risk, so this was technically a first trimester screening for birth defects like Down syndrome. Everything looked great and baby moved around a lot, waved its left arm, and showed off for the "camera." We were really anxious for this first ultrasound, at least I was. I don't know how our parents waited until delivery to see their babies, except that they really didn't know of anything other than waiting.
