We went to the OB today for the first visit this go 'round. I was really hoping for a first ultrasound, but she wouldn't do one. We did get to hear the heartbeat though -- it was 163. It was really neat and very reassuring. The doc can tell me everything's fine, but hearing that evidence is more reassuring than any of the tests. We go for an ultrasound on April 21, in about three weeks.
I've been really tired today. Sunday night I was up late (almost 1:00 am) waiting on thunderstorms to pass through. We had hail from dime-size to bigger than golf ball-size. There were also small tornadoes a mile or so from my parents' house. Then last night I couldn't get to sleep, thinking about my appointment today and some others in my life who need prayers.
Justin is working behind me to put some of his toys/action figures in plastic containers for the attic. We had several nice shelves installed when we built the house, but there's still not enough room to properly display all of his figures.
Logan seems to be recovering well from his surgery, with some minor setbacks. We think he still has some pain occasionally, and coupled with the terrible two's, that makes for some unpleasant interactions. But at least his poop is closer to normal now that he has been off the codeine for a week or so (it constipated him). His breath is much better, also. We're anxious for his hearing test and checkup next week to measure his improvement.
I'm doing the standard pre-vacation rush at work this week, trying to get as much done as possible before vacation next week. My brother's family will be visiting from Florida.
