Ear doctor follow-up

Logan had his three-week follow-up appointment from his ear surgery this morning. First was his hearing test. For the test, he sits in my lap and they have a panda bear in a box to the left and right that lights up when he looks toward the sound. He had the technician and me laughing because he started saying "that funny" and "do again" whenever the bears would light up. She was able to do the test with warbly sounds that she was not able to do the first time (pre-surgery). I think the first time he either couldn't hear the warbly sounds or he was getting restless.

Next we went to see the ENT. He said the tubes look great, completely clear, and the membrane behind the tubes looks great, too. His hearing tests were all in the normal range. This is all great, especially considering that Logan has had a lot of nasal drainage the past few days...it means it doesn't seem to be affecting his ears, which is wonderful. If he does have any infectious drainage from the ears, we're supposed to treat it with the ear drops they gave us and call the ENT if it last longer than five days. If no problems, he won't need to see him again for a year. We're thrilled that the surgery was so successful.
